Medical Education and Research Trust
API executive committee in the year 1979 authorised Dr.K.S. Shadaksharappa and Dr.NT Mohan to create a trust as per the constitution. Hence the trust viz, MERT was found. The trust was registered on 5th May 1979. MERT supplements to the teaching needs of Post Graduates in general medicine. MERT conducts its annual CME programme in internal medicine and symposium in cardiology in the name of Dr.K. S. Shadaksharappa. MERT sponsors various CME programmes in different faculties all over the state.
